The celebration was today. My students have been with me since September. We have been working together after school once a week on Chromebook for Kids. The students have learned about Chromebooks and all parts of the Google Suite. On our final day, we saw slideshows, listened to testimonials and saw videos- 11 year olds sharing what they have learned about technology. Powerful.
As enamored as I, their teacher, was with their technological growth, the real stars of the party were….the doughnuts on the back table. So much sugar just waiting until the end of our learning time. The class was my gift to them. My time and expertise and a great hyperdoc format with quizzes to hold us accountable. I had not asked for any donations- the parents surprised us and showed their appreciation in piles of doughnuts. Best. day ever.
True Things! thoughts from the middle of life 
I love this title so much–there’s poetry there. I could just see the piles of donuts. Loved that line about “so much sugar just waiting.”
