Sun is Sun

My husband and I were on our way home from a meeting today. The sunroof cover was pulled back and although the temperature was in the 30’s the warmth could be felt and that was good enough for me.

On my feet were Birkenstocks. My favorite shoes in the world. The previous Thursday was in the 50’s so those were shoes I had. With the snow coming down in the AM I saw that we were not in the clear, yet I smiled when I saw my feet. Spring is coming. I know it is.

I leaned back as my husband drove. The sun was coming down through the glass of the sunroof. I felt warm. I might have pretended I was on the beach somewhere, in fact, I could hear waves.
